Frequently Asked Questions

All Health Medical is a multidisciplinary medical facility founded in 2001. Our friendly team is always there to assist our patients. We now offer Rapid Antigen, RT-PCR and Rapid Antibody testing for asymptomatic individuals. We offer a streamlined, easy process to get your COVID testing done for travel.

RT-PCR (Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction): Using Health Canada Approved Devices, we perform reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests. The RT-PCR technique is used to detect nucleic acid from SARS-CoV-2 in a qualitative manner. In most cases RT-PCR is accepted in most countries. However since the rules about travel change frequently you must check if the conrty you’re planning to travel to accepts RT-PCR test to allow entry.

Rapid Antigen Testing (Lateral Flow): This immunoassay test detects the presence of a specific viral antigen, indicating that an infection is present. Although antigen tests are less sensitive than RT-PCR tests, they can be utilized to detect the virus in persons with a high viral load (those who are most contagious). Antigen assays have been approved by Health Canada as a means of virus screening. Confirmatory PCR testing is required for all positive Antigen tests.

pIgM Antibody Testing Antibody: Also called serology tests, search for antibodies in your blood to see if you've ever been infected with the COVID-19 virus. Antibodies are proteins produced by your immune system shortly after you've been infected or given a vaccine. Our test yields specific IgM and IgG results.
